Hi,
I'm running Majordomo 1.94.4 on a Red Hat Linux 5.1 machine. My MTA is
qmail, and I'm using mjinject as recommended by the qmail & Majordomo
section of www.qmail.org.
I'm looking for a nice way to archive my lists and publish them on the
web. I have got the supplied archive2.pl script working and archiving
posts in a list.YYYYMM format, this doesn't let me put them on the web
though.
In my searches I stumbled across MHonArc which looks great, and can
produce a great set of web pages from a Majordomo archive. It can also
add messages to an archive directly, as each message is received.
The problem is the direct adding method means that the whole list will be
put in one archive, not separated by month - this could soon become too
much for a busy list.
The problem with periodically running MHonArc on a Majordomo archive is
that I have heard that archive2.pl strips some useful information from the
headers when it saves the messages, which reduces MHonArc's ability to
thread the archives correctly. Is this true?
So, basically, I would appreciate if anyone with a working
web-accessible archive could let me know what software they're using.
