Howdy.
I have been setting up Majordomo version 1.94.4. I've never set up a mailing list before.
I followed all the instructions (I think!) in the README, INSTALL, and NEWLIST files, read the FAQ, checked my configuration files, and I still can't subscribe to my list. If I send mail to the -request alias, I get back the welcome message, but my e-mail address is never added to list file. I keep checking the Log file, but nothing is being written there, either.
So, what am I still doing wrong, pray tell?
My list is called "pei-announce". Don't ask me why I picked a long and unwieldy name like that, I couldn't tell you what I was thinking.
My lists are supposed to be in a directory called "lists", and I have the following permissions on that directory and the Log file:
-rwxrwxrwx 1 majordom majordom 0 Sep 21 11:29 Log
drwxrwxrwx 2 majordom majordom 8192 Sep 21 17:04 lists
the permissions for the files in the lists directory are as follows (according to the instructions in the NEWLIST file):
-rw-rw-r-- 1 root majordom 0 Sep 21 16:55 pei-announce
-rw-rw---- 1 daemon majordom 16130 Sep 21 17:04 pei-announce.config (This was actually generated by my "config" command)
-rw-rw-r-- 1 root majordom 0 Sep 21 16:56 pei-announce.info
I have tried to make the permissions on these files 777 to see if that would make a difference, but it didn't.
My aliases look like this (I did not include the owner- aliases below, since I don't think they are the problem):

I'm really stumped by this. I hope somebody can steer me in the right direction. I will greatly appreciate any advice.
