"test" is the e-mail address which starts the Majordomo processes (the scripts)
which manage the incoming message, doing all the things defined in the
config file, and perhaps a digest or archive.

"test-list" is a file with the e-mail addresses of the "test" subscribers.
Notice it is an argument in the "test" alias.

One mailing list convention is to add "-request" to the list's name to request
adminitrative actions, like subscribe or unsubscribe. Majordomo supports this
convention.

You should also have a majordomo alias, something like:
	majordomo: "|/Users/majordomo/wrapper majordomo"

Also, whenever you change the alias file you must issue the command
"newaliases" to have sendmail re-read the alias database.

The alias file /etc/sendmail/aliases is usually edited by root.
The majordomo scripts are usually in a sub-directory of the account
created to manage the mailing lists, frequently the account name
is majordomo but not necessarily. They can be edited and maintained
by the non-privileged majordomo account.

There really are no commands which are executed from the prompt (except
for newaliases, which isn't a majordomo command). A piece of e-mail
arrives and triggers the execution of a script or scripts which accomplish
the tasks set forth in the list.config file and send the message
on to subscrbers or activates the majordomo script which enrolls one as
a subscriber, returns information about a particular list, etc.
