Group:

I'm trying to get archive2.pl to work. It seems OK, except that it's
not writing any archives.

I've added these lines to the aliases file

skipperlist-archive: "/usr/home/major/wrapper archive2.pl
	-f /usr/home/major/lists/skipperlist.archive/skipperlist
	-M -a"

I've run newaliases

I've created the directory:
	/usr/home/major/lists/skipperlist.archive

I've created an empty file in the above directory, called
	skipperlist

I sent this message to majordomo:

	index skipperlist

I got back this response:

-rw-r--r-- 1 major major 1 Oct 23 12:49 skipperlist

I sent a test message to the skipperlist and it was duly posted.

Then I sent this message to majordomo:

	get skipperlist skipperlist

and got back this response:

	--

When I telnetted into lists/skipperlist.archive, i found that the file,
skipperlist was still empty and hod not been accessed since it was
created. But that the directory skipperlist.archive had been
recently accessed.

What am I doing wrong?

My suspicion is that it's not going to the right directory. When I
tried running archive2.pl from the command promp, it didn't find all
the required files, because it looked for them in ENV{'HOME'}, and
they were in a subdirectory instead. But even after assigning the
proper directory to the HOME variable, it still doesn't write to the
file.
