Hi:
Got a problem that I cant seem to find resolution for. Currently, I have a
couple of Majordomos (1.9.94) running off as Sun SPARC 10, Solaris 2.5.1
host. I have a bothersome group of clueless list users who pester me for
'unsubscribe instructions' (you know, the ones that get sent with their
intro letter that their told to save?). I thought that I would solve the
problem by using the 'message_footer' directive to attach an instructional
message footer on each list send. Unfortunately, I happen to use
`bulk_mailer` as my delivery agent, and it doesnt seem to read the
list.config files for things like 'message_footer'. Due to other
suggestions ive received thus far, I set up the following majordomo
aliases, such that it first pipes the outbound message through resend (so
that resend might grab the message_footer info), then sends it to
`bulk_mailer` for delivery service:
boundlist:"|/home/majordomo/wrapper resend -l boundlist -h majordomo.bound.org boundlist-bulkmail"
boundlist-bulkmail:"|/home/majordomo/bin/bulk_mailer -maxsize 10000 -maxdomains 5 -list-unsubscribe 'http://www.bound.org/subdocs/MajordomoInstructions.html' owner-boundlist@majordomo.bound.org /home/majordomo/lists/boundlist"
boundlist-outgoing: :include:/home/majordomo/lists/boundlist
has anyone found a way to get `bulk_mailer` (or similar package) to add a
message footer to outbound list messages? This is really starting to make
me lose hair, and im almost bald, as is. :\
