MajorDomo does do strange things from time to time.
The other day, I got a couple of error messages to the effect that it
couldn't write a new ~/lists/<list-name>-digest-conf file. One already
exists.
This was after the list has been running for some time. I didn't do
anything, waiting for more information. Now everything seems to be
running smoothly again.
Another peculiarity, I subscribed myself as "vern" and was getting the
usual distributions. The other day I posted a message and got an
error message to <list-name>-owner saying "vern" wasn't subscribed.
Huh??
Yes, there are strange things happening in MajorDomo!!
Perhaps these inconsistencies can explain why suggestions to this list
work for some people but not others.
I always thought that computers were simple minded and weren't
susceptible to human eccentricities. I was wrong once before, does
this make twice?
