Hi,
Does anyonme know of a way to filter non-text attahments (such as
Netscape V-Cards) from messages so as to be able to show Fronters & Footers
that Majordomo attaches to list messages?

It seems that the problem lies in parsing Multipart MIME attachments.
Majordomo Doesn't parse them so when the headers and footers are attached
they end up in a location which renders them not visible through mail
readers which do parse MIME mail (NS Messenger etc).

For example, I attached headers to a test list, and was disoppointed
to find that they were not being displayed when the message I sent to the
list was viewed by subscribers, through 'MIME aware' mail readers. It
wasn't until I setup an archive, and saw the message Majordomo was sending
back.

Example MEssage Follows:

A Fronter and footer should appear above and below this line (This is the
message body).

Footer for Message posted to the PCNT test mailing list

--- End Example Message

Note the location of the headers and footers Majordomo inserts.
The lines are:
Header for Message sent to the PCNT test mailing list subscribers
AND
Footer for Message posted to the PCNT test mailing list

Majordomo inserts them outside of the txt portion of the message. Is
there any way to correct this? Perhaps by filtering out all attachments
(assuming the first body text after a mime header of Content-type:
text/plain is the only meaningful body text).

As I finish composing this I am beginning to realize that the solution
is something best incorporated into MJ2 if no one has written a patch or
filter to adress this issue. So, having rambled on this long, back to my
question Has anyone run up against this and/or come up with a solution
which allows the display of Fronters/Footers in multipart mail?

Regards (Happy Holidays)
