Hi,
I finally got around to installing the patches that let you use
MajorCool's web interface to approve messages to the list. If
you haven't installed them yet and you have list-owners other
than the system administrator, do them and yourself a favor
and install it. Approving is quite the pain in the neck for
list-owners who haven't had any previous experience.
For that matter, MajorCool is essential for these same people,
though the Majordomo config files still can be cryptic to them.
The install of the patches for the approval queue goes as
described in the README - specifically, you do have to apply
a number of them by hand, but they are reasonably easy to
spot. In fact, I had to split up the patches for "resend"
into separate files to get them to take since patch was
reporting a problem with the line numbering.
So thanks much to Bill for both Majorcool and the approval
queue patches! Implicit in this thank you is a big tip-of-the-
hat to Brent, Jason, and all in between for their work on
Majordomo and the foresight to make contributions from others
convenient.
On a related note, is there any patch for approving subscriptions via
the web, perhaps with the generation of form containing checkboxes next
to the pending subscriptions?
