Sorry for the repeat post, but I'm still having trouble with the
following:
I'm having a problem with the restrict_post setting for my list. I've read
the FAQ, the man files, and looked through the mailing list archives, but
can't seem to find an answer.
My domain is hosted by a hosting company, and they provide majordomo lists
as part of their service, so I'm not working directly on the files. I
update the list config via email. I can telnet onto their servers and look
at the list's files, but I can't edit them directly.
Without restrict_post set, the list works fine, but when I set
restrict_post = <listname>
then two things happen. One is that messages from non-subscribed addresses
bounce exactly as I would expect them to. The other is that messages from
subscribed addresses seem to disappear into the ether.
I've also tried
restrict_post = <path>\<listname>
but it doesn't seem to make any difference. The messages don't bounce,
they just don't seem to be coming back to any of my own subscribed
addresses.
I've examined the <listname> file itself as per the path used, and it does
contain the subscribers' addresses.
Can anyone suggest what else I should be checking?
I'm using Majordomo 1.94.4, Perl 5.1, FreeBSD 3.0 and (I think) SendMail.
