A (RFC1153) digest has messages stripped of most of their headers separated
by lines of 30 dashes, with an index at the top separated from the messages
by a line of 70 dashes. A (UNIX mbox) archive has messages separated by a
blank line followed by lines like the following:

>From owner-linux-kernel-outgoing@vger.rutgers.edu Wed Jan 13 11:56:50 1999

There are other formats. archive2.pl only deals with mbox files.
