Please be more clear, is that 500,000 messages to one list.  Or is it a
list of 500,000 address with one message per day?

For large lists, you probably should move away from sendmail and use
something like exim  (www.exim.org), that will obviate the need to use
bulk_mailer which is not really robust enough.

MD opperations on a list of 500000 might be a problem (or very slow),
other than that a P200 witn 128M Ram should be just fine.  The perl
distribution that comes with RH is buggy.  Just wipe it and install perl
fresh from CPAN.
