The threads idea is nice.  I did notice that with 1.94.4, it helps if
you can sort the subscriber list by domain name.  That way, sendmail
(which I use) is able to do bunches of people at the same address at
once, rather than going back and forth amongst many different
addresses.  Combined with threads handling mail, I think it would add
a definite performance increase..
