I'm not sure what "time" you are talking about. An un-moderated list, once
setup requires no time at all. 0-7 postings is nothing for a good mail
server.
It all depends on your experience with computers ( unix in general ) on how
well you comprehend the docs, and how long it takes you to implement what
is written.

If you own your own domain and have addresses mapped to that domain, there
may be a few changes if you get a different provider.
It all depends on who your provider is, and how mail is routed for your list.

What kind of machine are you talking about? windoz or *nix. Don't run a
mailling list off of a Windoz machine. Get a copy of FreeBSD lynix or
something with open source code. The stability alone is worth the time

Once again, what is your expetise? how well do you comprehend the docs.
They have everything written there for you.
The only special technical expertise is logical thinking and working grey
stuff between the ears.
