Subject: stopping mail loops

Two Questions:

1) In the unfortunate circumstance that my list gets embroiled in a mail loop (caused by a bounced mail from a nasty little subscriber) is there any effective way to stop the mailer process before duplicate, triplicate mails are sent to the list? I have tried everything under the sun, from completely obliterating the queue, to stopping/restarting sendmail, until finally I had to replace the actual list with a dummy list. I narrowed down that the loop was being spawned by bounced mail from one domain; any addressed originating coming from this domain have since been removed from the list. I am running:

Majordomo 1.94
Perl 5.00502
BSD/OS 3.1
Sendmail 8.8

2) What is the largest single "anouncement" style (not discussion-based) list that has run through Majordomo? I am currently running a distribution list for approximately 15,000 + names on a weekly basis.

Thanks!

Kathleen
