Is there general interest in a list specific to the needs of people
running large lists?
Check out the majordomo-users archives. I've posted a number of
things on issues and solutions I've run into on my large lists. And
if you have specific questions, drop me a note off-line and I'll help
out as I can.
As far as bounces are concerned, I've spent a few days this week
evaluating Smartbounce (www.smartbounce.com), and I expect next week
to cut a P.O. for the beast. The bounce file for my last big mailing
ran to 100 megs of mail, and it ran it (on a Sun 250) in about 50
minutes, and took care of ~94-95% of the bounces for me. Given the
time it'll save, it'll pay for itself in about a week....
