stripping subject line

greetings everyone!  i'm wondering what the easiest way to reform subject lines in messages...
for example, i have a [cs-staff] subject prefix set and whenever someone replies to a message
it prepends a Re: (ie "Re: [cs-staff] this is the subject") .. what's the easiest way to reform
the subject so as it would look like "[cs-staff] Re: this is the subject" ?
