Subject: aliase problems and lists

I am seeing a problem when creating lists and adding users from within our
domain.

The local aliase file has, for example: smallsre :
smallsre@nrlmry.navy.mil

The mailserver aliase file has: smallsreed	: smallsre
				         smallsre :
smallsre@athena.nrlmry.navy.mil
This is being routed to the Exchange mail server.

If I am a member say, scott-list, and am defined in scott-list as
smallsre@nrlmry.navy.mil, and I issue a 'who scott-list' I will receive
return mail indicating I'm not a member of the list. who_access is set to
list.
If I am defined as 'smallsre' in scott-list, and issue the command, it will
send me back the list of members in scott-list.
I believe this is only the case for members in this domain. Are the aliases
screwed up somewhere between the listserver host and the mailserver?

Any hints would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Scott
