Hello all

After studying the documentation on Majordomo that someone sent to the list
I think I've got the concept to start with one on one of my experimental
machines.
I also have been following some list about linux and freebsd.

Fow a novice like me. What would be your advice on the following:

1) What flavor of all the linux distributions will you recommend for
starting a list with Majordomo?. Redhat?. Mandrake, SuSE, Debian,
Slackware?. I don't care to use or not X as a graphical interface, what
would you suggest?

2) What about the solution that's perl based that let's you configure lists
and some other administrative tasks? (webadmin or webmin I don't remember
the name now). Do you recommend it?

3) I already have a machine working with Freebsd 3.2. It has been running
without problems as a web server (apache) and email. Would you suggest to
forget about Linux and have Majordomo working On Freebsd?

One last question. Talking about the "not so expensive" Unix based OS out
there?. What would you consider the best for task like this?. I don't want
to start a OS war, I'm just curious about the differente UNIx alternatives
out there and that maybe I am leaving out of consideration (a friend tole
me about a BSD based Unix that's about 300 USD but that in his opinion is
VERY superior to Free or almost free solutions on the market).

If you think this questions are so stupid pls let me know that privately (
jbiquez@icsmx.com ) so we won't waste any bandwidth of the list. ok?

Thanks in advance,
