Last night I had a problem with a list I set up with majordomo. A post to
the list, for some reason, was delivered to the list repeatedly, something
like twice per minute. The sender was not sending it repeatedly, at least
not on purpose. I tried 'banning' him (removing his name from the
restric_post list), still, the messages kept coming, so I assumed the
repeat messages were not coming from his site. He didn't have a recursive
forward on his account (or a forward to the list or anything). I tried
checking logs and everything, and it all seemed fine. The sender sent
a couple of other messages after that, without problems, so it probably
wasn't his domain or address. Has anybody had this problem before? Any
idea what might have happened or how to prevent it from happening again?
On a related note... how do I "turn off" majordomo in a hurry?
I ended up removing (commenting out) the aliases from /etc/aliases (and
running newaliases afterward) and renaming ~majordomo/resend... is that
the correct way?

"Tonight, when we were eating dinner, Marta said something that really
knocked me for a loop. She said, 'I love carrots.' 'Good,' I said as I
gritted my teeth real hard. 'Then maybe you and carrots would like to go
into the bedroom and have sex!' They didn't, but maybe they will sometime,
and I can watch."
