Are mail loops caused by vacation messages still a problem or is there
now a solution I should know about?
I've read everything I could find on the subject and I still have a
question.
I've set "reply_to" to nothing (I hope that's OK) and "sender" to
owner-list so I think mail loops will be avoided except for one case:
if a user sets a vacation-reply rule to respond to "Sender and all
recipients" instead of to "Sender only" then the list will get the
message which means the user will get the message and generate another
vacation message which will go to the list, etc.
Admittedly, this is a mistake on the part of the user, but I do have
users who make mistakes. I make them myself occasionally. Is there any
way this situation can be detected and intrrupted, either by Majordomo
or by the mail client?
I'm using MJ 1.94.4 and most list participant are using GroupWise mail.
Thanks for the help.
