sendmail error

I am having problems initiating majordomo to accept new lists; i always get
this error immediately bounced back to the owner:

sh: wrapper not available for sendmail programs
554 "|/home/majord/wrapper majordomo"... Service unavailable

I am running Red Hat Linux 6.0, which contains sendmail 8.0 and perl 5.  I
just installed v1.94.4 about three times and I always get this message.  the
permissions on wrapper are actually `-rwsrwxr-x` and i've run `wrapper
config-test` several times as a regular user (not as root or the majordomo
user); and the owner of wrapper is root, and it is in the daemon group.  I
have read the FAQ thoroughly and haven't found this error in there at all.
I can't figure out what the problem is and I wonder if it is a bug.  If
anyone could help me out I would appreciate it.
