Well, as a matter of fact, the way I've always managed the approval of a
new subscriber to my closed lists is

approve PASSWORD subscribe list_name Name LastName <user@machine.domain>

As you may see, the full name is not quoted (it works OK), you may also
have to have the 'strip' variable in you list's config file set to 'no'

strip               =   no

so that your new member's full name and e-mail address are both stored
in you list's file.

mail-to: edma@exodus.dcaa.unam.mx (because edma@dcaa.unam.mx won't work)
