I'm trying to create a local mailing list, i've created the sendmail
aliases, here they are:
-- Cut --
testlist: "|/usr/lib/majordomo/wrapper resend -l testlist
testlist-outgoing"
testlist-outgoing: :include:/var/lib/majordomo/lists/testlist
testlist-request: "|/usr/lib/majordomo/wrapper majordomo -l testlist"
testlist-approval: owner-testlist,
owner-testlist-outgoing: owner-testlist,
owner-testlist-request: owner-testlist,
owner-testlist: hal,
-- Cut --
i've created /var/lib/majordomo/lists/testlist with mode 0664 and
configured it by mailing majordomo with 'config testlist testlist.admin'
and (after editing the file) 'newconfig testlist testlist.admin'.
This works. So does subscribing. When i did a test subscribe i got a mail
back asking for authentication, this also worked.
What doesn't work is sending mail to the list, owner-testlist gets an
email that contains this:
-- Cut --
From: Mail Delivery Subsystem <MAILER-DAEMON@linuxserver.ascent.lan>
To: owner-testlist@linuxserver.ascent.lan
Subject: Returned mail: testlist-outgoing... aliasing/forwarding loop
broken
...
----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
testlist-outgoing
:include:/var/lib/majordomo/lists/testlist
(expanded from: testlist-outgoing)
----- Transcript of session follows -----
550 :include:/var/lib/majordomo/lists/testlist... Cannot open
/var/lib/majordomo/lists/testlist: Group writable directory
Message delivered to mailing list testlist-outgoing
554 testlist-outgoing... aliasing/forwarding loop broken
-- Cut --
what have i not done properly? The version of majordomo is 1.94.4 which
comes precompiled as an rpm with SuSe Linux 6.1. I can mail the output
from wrapper config-test if it's needed.
