Dear Majordomo Users,
running Majordomo 1.94.4 on a RedHat 5.1 Linux.
When I create a digest for a mailing list, I get an error message
when there is no one subscribed in the digest mailing list. It works
fine when there are people subscribed to that list. The error message
looks like this:
To: owner-testlist@fbzslinux.tu-graz.ac.at
Subject: Returned mail: testlist-digest-out... aliasing/forwarding loop broken
The original message was received at Tue, 14 Sep 1999 09:49:06 +0200 (MET DST)
from majordom@localhost

testlist-digest-out

The alias entry for the mailing list using sendmail looks like this one:

I guess it is more a sendmail problem, but what can I do to prevent
this from happening? Is the only solution to subscribe a dummy user?
I hope not.
