We have a production server that has been running Majordomo 1.93 for the
passed 4 years with no problems. We just installed 1.94.4 on a HPUX 10.20
test platform that has Sendmail 8.8.6.
Everything is working fine except postings to the list are sitting in the
mail queue for approx. 30 minutes before they are being sent out. If I
DON'T archive the messages the queuing delay does NOT occur and the
recipients recieve the message almost instantaneously.
These are my aliases:
isball :"|/opt/majordomo/wrapper resend -l isball -h thor.marh.gov.bc.ca
isball-
outgoing"
isball-approval: owner-isball
isball-request: "|/opt/majordomo/wrapper request-answer "
isball-outgoing: :include:/app/majordomo/mail/lists/isball, isball-archive
isball-archive: "|/opt/majordomo/wrapper archive -f
/app/majordomo/mail/archive/
isball/isball -M -a"
owner-isball-outgoing: owner-isball
owner-isball: isball-owner
owner-isball-archive: owner-majordomo
owner-isball-request: owner-majordomo
isball-owner:mhodge@hq.marh.gov.bc.ca
We have checked through sendmail's configuration as well as the resend and
archive programs to see if they are asking sendmail to place messages in
the queue for a period of time and can't find anything.
Any pointers/suggestions would be very much appreciated. I apologize if
this is a known issue. I did try to find the answer first :)
