Subject: mail loops

Every so often, a listmember goes away, leaving an autoresponder
at his address. By the time I can catch it, the list is clobbered.
Once it happened when I was out-of-town, and the list got thousands
of messages, and most everybody unsubscribed in self-defense.
Is there any kind of filter for majordomo which would recognize
such a mail loop and nip it in the bud?

Harvey
