Hi,
I'm trying to setup majordomo on my Redhat 6.0 machine. I can build
and install it with no problem, but when I try to add the aliases
sendmail has some problems.
When I type 'newaliases' after I edit my sendmail.cf file I get this:
/etc/aliases: 14 aliases, longest 10 bytes, 152 bytes total
hash map "Alias1": unsafe map file
/usr/local/majordomo/majordomo.aliases.db: Permission denied
WARNING: cannot open alias database
/usr/local/majordomo/majordomo.aliases
Cannot create database for alias file
/usr/local/majordomo/majordomo.aliases
Any ideas? Here is what the majordomo alias file looks like:
majordomo: "|/usr/local/majordomo/wrapper majordomo"
majordomo-owner: majordomo
owner-majordomo: majordomo
test: "|/usr/local/majordomo/wrapper resend -l test test-list"
test-list: :include:/usr/local/majordomo/lists/test
owner-test: nyante
test-owner: nyante
test-request: nyante
I created a user 'majordomo' in the group 'daemon' to admin it with. Is
this okay?
Thanks,
Newton
