Operating System Error

While trying to post a messages to a recently created list, I received
the following error:

Sep 27 11:23:51 central-server sendmail[7228]: LAA07228:
to="|/usr/lib/majordomo/wrapper resend -l test-list test-list-list",
delay=00:00:01, xdelay=00:00:01, mailer=prog, stat=Operating system
error

I am running SuSE 6.1, and we're trying to use majordomo to support
email distribution lists

any help would be much appreciated
