Subject: bounces

Hi,

I have recently started managing several mailing lists using Majordomo. It
works out for the most part, but I have been getting a lot of bounces.

A common error is "data format error"

This would seem to indicate an invalid email address which seems weird
that people would send me their desire to be on a list with an invalid
email address.

I subscribe people like this:

subscribe list-name user@domain.com
subscribe list-name user@domain.com
and so on, sometimes subscribing 20 or so at a time.

Any ideas on what might be causing what seems to be an inordinate amount
of "data format" errors and how to fix this problem?

Majordomo version: man page says: version 1.90)

Perl version: 5.005_03 built for i386-bsdos

OS: BSDI BSD/OS 2.1 Kernel #10

Thanks

Neil
