Hey all--
Okay...here's what I've got: Majordomo 1.94.4 on our main mailserver.
Somehow the names of the lists have gotten out into the wild and we
are receiving spam through the list to all of our employees. I want
to close down the list so that only people that have uswest.net or
uswest.com in their email addresses can send to the lists. (And not
just the users in the mailing list) Those that are not in the
uswest.net or uswest.com domains should be sent to the moderator for
confirmation of delivery/deletion.
I've looked at Majordomo2 (the Majordomo-0.1199906210 snap) and found
the Norway example in the COOKBOOK, but I'm not happy with the
functionality of mj2 yet, and I highly doubt that our management would
go for it until it is no longer in alpha.
With all that background, now here is my question: Is there any way to
set up a an access rule in 1.94.4 until I can get mj2 fully
functional and tested?
If not, is there any way to allow users that have the uswest.com and
uswest.net addresses to send mail to the lists whil having those that
are not sent to the mailing list owner?
Thanks,
Bryan
