Problems setting up Majorcool

Hello

I've recently installed majordomo and have decided to use majorcool as
an interface to my  mailing lists.
However, I keep getting the same error on  running Configure

I have a Linux machine (SUSE v 6.2 ) and the error I get is :

During testing, the shellscript aborts at :
Could not open cache


Can you help ??
