Hypermail support fell into limbo when the maintainer's company was
absorbed into Hewlett-Packard. The application is now being
maintained by Kent Landfield, he of wu-ftpd fame, and version 2.0b29
is Y2K compliant and fixes a number of bugs in the 1.02 version that
was the last supported release.
You can get the updated hypermail at www.hypermail.org.
To use hypermail on a "per item" basis you simply need to have a
special entry in your majordomo aliases file to handle it. I use the
following and add testlist-hypermail-add right after the archives
entry on the outgoing alias entry.
testlist-hypermail-add :"|/usr/local/bin/hypermail -i -u -l \"The
<em>Test List</em> Mail List\" -d /var/virtual/listserv/testlist -b
info.html -a ./archives"
