Good day. I'm running sendmail 8.9.3, perl 5.04 something or other (the one
that comes with Redhat 6.0) and majordomo 1.94.4. Majordomo is configured
for virtual domains, and I've been running four mailing lists for about a
year now without a problem. I'd like to get this problem resolved as quickly
as possible - the list needs to be running in a week.
I started to add a mailing list yesterday, and ran into all sort of
problems, the primary being that sendmail/majordomo only seems to send out
to the first two people in my subscriber list.
Before I give you some logs and examples, this is what I'm trying to
accomplish: I want all email addresses to look like "vd-*@disobey.com" but I
want people to be able to subscribe by doing "subscribe viewerdiscretion".
As such, here is my virtusertable concerning this entry:
owner-vd@disobey.com owner-vd
vd-owner@disobey.com owner-vd
vd@disobey.com vd
vd-request@disobey.com vd-request
vd-approval@disobey.com vd-approval
And my majordomo-aliases file (which is automatically rebuilt upon save):
Pardon wrapping - I've prefaced new lines with a ### for readability in this
mail:
owner-vd: morbus,nobody
###
vd: "|/usr/local/majordomo/runtime/wrapper resend -l viewerdiscretion -C
/usr/local/majordomo/runtime/majordomo-disobey.cf -h disobey.com
viewerdiscretion-doit,nobody"
###
vd-approval: owner-vd
###
viewerdiscretion-doit:
:include:/usr/local/majordomo/lists.disobey/viewerdiscretion
###
owner-vd-doit: owner-vd
###
vd-request: "|/usr/local/majordomo/runtime/wrapper -C
/usr/local/majordomo/runtime/majordomo-disobey.cf request-answer
viewerdiscretion"
###
owner-vd-request: owner-vd
I can subscribe to the list fine (which is currently using a configuration
that I can send upon request) and I can send using one of the two addresses
listed in my restricted post file. I can also unsubscribe and approve
commands correctly, yet whenever I send, it will only send to the first two
addresses in the list, which is currently:
info@totalnetnh.net
morbus@disobey.com
testing@disobey.com
ugly@disobey.com
My sendmail log reports the following (the extraneous spaces in the log are
for formatting on my console). You'll see below my initial send (KAA27119)
to the list, and then the resending to only two addresses - should be the
four above...
