Hi all - I recently upgraded from 1.94.4 to 1.95.5 and (think I) have
noticed a change in behaviour when trying to send messages containing MIME
attachments to *moderated* lists, when I want to approve the messages at
the time that I send them (rather than wait for them to bounce and then
approve them). Our mailers don't allow us to insert headers, so our
documented procedure has been...
http://www.bris.ac.uk/ISC/mdmc/mdmcfaq.html#approvemod
which includes...
2.If your mailer does not allow you to add additional headers, you can add
the line:
Approved: sekrit
as the first line of the message, followed by a blank line (which is
required for your message to be sent properly) followed by the text of
your message. The Approved: line and one following blank line will be
deleted and the message will be passed without being checked. The blank
line is important because it is used to differentiate between a
pre-approval and the approval of a bounced message.
I'm sure this worked with 1.94.4, but with 1.94.5 the messages are being
bounced for approval (just to emphaise that this only happens when I send
messages which include attachments and only when the target is a moderated
list).
Is this a change in behaviour, or is my memory playing tricks on me (again).
