Hello. We're running majordomo 1.94.4 on a redhat linux 6.0 system.
We're having a strange problem. Whenever we try to do something that
changes a list (such as subscribe or unsubscribe) we get the following
error:
--
MAJORDOMO ABORT (mj_majordomo)!!
While running with an effective uid of 91 and an effective gid of 91 91 12, Majordomo
ran into the following problems:
Unable to create log file in /var/lib/majordomo, check permissions.
Unable to write to list directory $listdir, check permissions on /var/lib/majordomo/lists
--
weird things here: majordomo has uid 16, not 91, in fact there is no
user with id 91. $homedir should be set to /usr/local/majordomo, not
/var/lib/majordomo. I ran config-test as described in readme and it
said
--------------------- euid/egid checks ---------------------
effective user = majordomo (uid 16)
effective group = daemon wheel disk adm sys daemon bin root (gid 2
10 6 4 3 2
1 0 )
---------------------- uid/gid checks ----------------------
real user = majordomo (uid 16)
real group = daemon wheel disk adm sys daemon bin root (gid 2
10 6 4 3 2
1 0 )
------------------------------------------------------------
so we're quite confused as to what's happening. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
David
