Hello there!
redhat 6.1
postfix 19991231_pl06
majordomo rpm 1.94.5
Note: newly installed but i transferred all the existing list on my
previous machine and i didn't copy the old archives anymore.
Everything's working just fine but when i try to send to the list,
(although it is sent to those included in the list) I am getting this
error. It appears that majordomo wasn't able to write to the archives
directory?
The Postfix program
<test-archive@marikit.iphil.net>: cannot open destination file
/var/lib/majordomo/archives/test: Permission denied
my /var/lib/majordomo/archives/test looks like this:
-rw-rw-r-- 1 majordom majordom 0 Apr 24 16:40 test
my alias for that sample list (test) looks like this
# TEST
test-owner: gmg@iphil.net
owner-test: test-owner
test: "|/usr/lib/majordomo/wrapper resend -p bulk -M 10000 -l test -f test-owner -h lists.iphil.net -s test-outgoing"
test-outgoing: :include:/var/lib/majordomo/lists/test, test-archive
owner-test-outgoing: test-owner
test-archive: /var/lib/majordomo/archives/test
owner-test-archive: test-owner
test-request: "|/usr/lib/majordomo/wrapper majordomo -l test"
owner-test-request: test-owner
test-approval: gmg@iphil.net
owner-test-owner: gmg@iphil.net
2ND QUESTION:
I read on the FAQ that to update the connfig files of my existing lists
with that of newer versionof majordomo I am now running is to execute a
`writeconfig`. It may sound silly HOW EXACTLY should I do that? Should I
do it one by one per list? Like `writeconfig test` on the command line?
Thanks in advance for the help!
