Subject: How do I debug "is not a valid return address"?

I'm getting lots of messages like this:

| MAJORDOMO ABORT (mj_majordomo)!!
| 
| Majordomo@lists.oasis-open.org: ebxml is not a valid return address.

But I can't tell where majordomo is getting the address 'ebxml'.
I don't see that unadorned address anywhere in the configuration
file for the ebxml list or the subscriber file.

It does appear in the /etc/mail/aliases file, but that should be
OK, yes?
