Subject: attachments being split and sent as messages

We are using majordomo 1.94.4.

A user sent a message containing 3 attached GIFs to a list.

The mime syntax appeared legal:

>Content-Type: multipart/mixed;
> boundary="------------862517AEF244B0869D982446"

but for some reason the message was split into sections: the text part
and three base 64 parts.

The text part _did not_ get sent, so list subscribers got three
messages, each one one of the encoded GIFs! The messages contained no
Subject:, no Reply-To:, just the encoded text between the MIME
boundaries.

I've searched the archives but see no mention of this problem. Has
anyone else run into this?

Thanks.
