BTW, I am using majordomo version 1.94.5
Ownership for all directories concerned is domo:list (domo is a member of
the list group). Domo is also a member of each of the separate groups I
built for each mailing list. Domo's primary group is list.
Even if I chown ALL files in ALL directories concerned to domo:list, I get
the same result.
Permissions for files are what is correct: in any case, owner and group
writeable. Same with directories. I have checked, re-checked, and
re-re-checked those, changed them to 777, back to 700, ad nauseam. Same
result.
At the suggestion of Dan Liston I removed the group-write bit from every
directory and file concerned, since he felt that Sendmail was the one
doing the bitching. Didn't help. Same result.
Rebooted after CAREFULLY checking all scripts, .cf files, etc. Same
result.
I am stumped.
It is probably something very simple, but I can't figure it out...
