I'm not sure what you mean by changing restrict_post = swe-testme
and resubmitting your new config.
The restrict_post line looked as follows in my config file:
restrict_post = swe-testme
Do you mean I should copy swe-testme to another file and
change restrict_post to be that file? I did try that and
I got the same error message. I have never seen a
swe-testme.new file created yet in this process so I am
not able to examine it as you suggest. Here are the
files I find having to do with swe-testme:
-rw-r--r-- 1 mail admin 82 May 24 12:55 swe-testme
-rw-r--r-- 1 mail admin 16158 May 25 09:58 swe-testme.config
-rw-r--r-- 1 mail admin 225 Sep 21 1999 swe-testme.info
drwxr-xr-x 2 mail admin 7168 May 25 10:07 .
This list does work the way I want it to. Only members of
the list can post to the list. I get the right bounce message
if I try to send a message from one of my accounts not on the
list. I might try and change a config file for another of
the lists and see if it is a common problem or just a problem
for this particular list.
Do you have any more suggestions with this new info?

/var/local/majordomo/lists/swe-testme.new to see if it is .config
file information, or a list of email addresses. If it contains
email addresses, rename the file to swe-testme.post. If it has
configuration information, diff it against swe-testme.config to
find out if it has information you need/want to keep as compared
to the .config version of the file. Then modify your .config
with the correct information, or delete the file and send the
config via email commands again.
