Hello everybody
I am new to this job - I set up my first 3 lists 2 weeks ago, using
Majordomo, and as far as I can see, everything works as it should
(great documentation -- a big thank you to all the contributors!).
Here is my problem (or rather, inconvenience): I have set up archiving
with my mailing list; when I retrieve an archive file (via the `index'
and `get' commands) I get a concatenation of messages, where the
various MIME bodyparts are faithfully preserved -- the problem is that
now the user has to decode the variously encoded bodyparts by hand
because the message are not encapsulated as message body parts. Is
there an archiving utility available that would add new message to an
archive file in the form of a MIME message body part?
For reference, here is my archive setup in the alias file:
#
# monthly reports: closed user group, subscription needs approval of owner
#
monatsbericht-owner: taumberg
monatsbericht-out:
:include:/usr/user/majordomo/lists/monatsbericht, monatsbericht-archive
monatsbericht-archive:
"|/usr/user/majordomo/wrapper archive2.pl -a -M
-f /usr/user/majordomo/lists/monatsbericht.archive/berichte"
monatsbericht:
"|/usr/user/majordomo/wrapper resend -l monatsbericht monatsbericht-out"
monatsbericht-request:
"|/usr/user/majordomo/wrapper request-answer monatsbericht"
monatsbericht-approval: taumberg
owner-monatsbericht: monatsbericht-owner
owner-monatsbericht-approval: taumberg
Thank you for your time.
