If you run 1.94.5 you can apply the following patch:
ftp://ftp.ccsf.org/majordomo-patches/1.94.5/config_parse.pl-resend.1
Then do a writeconfig on your lists; then configure the lists and set the
value of:
non_member_bounce = sender
