When approving messages, I only leave these original header lines;
To:
From:
Date:
Subject:
and I put the approved: header above all those with no blank lines
between Approved: and To:.
After all the header lines, I verify "one" blank line followed by the
original message body.
To be able to reply to the sender, rather than just the list-owner or
list itself, the reply_to = in your list config file needs to be blank
or $SENDER.
