You are positive your fetchmail setup is fetching your list mail
and then passing it to the list alias (handled by Majordomo) ?
If you want me to look over your fetchmailrc file, mail it to
me direct (I'm not sure if the whole list wants to read it).
After fetchmail has fetched your mail and passed it to the list,
have a look through your maillog file. Type 'tail -20 <maillogfile>'
(it's probably located in /var/log). What clues are there ?

As you asked : IIRC what appears here ^|^ on your Redhat box depends
on what is contained within the files /etc/hostname and /etc/hosts
