Subject: md delivers mail only local not worldwide

Hello,
it's the first time I trie to build up a mailinglist...
The problem: I can send mail from the list epk only locally, the mail
does not go out to members in the world.
I read the FAQ and the readme's carefully (I hope...) but I didn't see
any hint how to solve my problem.

The system is SuSE6.4, sendmail 8.5.1 and majordomo 1.94.5, I installed
sendmail and majordomo from the SuSE-CD's on my system.
I have a dial-up connection to the net.
The local system is named sonne.helmert.all, there are the users
wolfram, rebekka, esther. These persons are all members of the list epk.
Me email-adress is wolfram@sonne.helmert.all and helmert@snafu.de,
helmert@snafu.de is also member of the list.
I was able to subscribe the users wolfram, rebekka and esther via local
mail to the list, the member helmert I added by hand.

I set up the entries for a list epk in /etc/aliases like this:

epk: "|/usr/lib/majordomo/wrapper resend -l epk epk-list"
#epk: "|/usr/lib/majordomo/wrapper resend -l epk -h sonne.helmert.all
epk-list"
epk-list: :include:/var/lib/majordomo/lists/epk
owner-epk: helmert@snafu.de,
epk-owner: helmert@snafu.de,
#epk-owner: wolfram@sonne.helmert.all,
epk-approval: helmert@snafu.de,
#epk-approval: wolfram@sonne.helmert.all,
epk-request: "|/usr/lib/majordomo/wrapper majordomo -l epk"

When I send a mail to helmert@snafu.de and to the list (an dial the
provider first, of course...) /var/log/mail shows the following lines:

I get then the following news as postmaster/root:

Postmaster notify: Service unavailable

----- Transcript of session follows -----
... while talking to mail.snafu.de:

sender is <>)
554 helmert@snafu.de... Service unavailable

/var/lib/majordo/tmp/*.debug and ../majordomo/Log don't show new lines

That shows me:
- for normal mails sendmail knows the smarthost (212.222.106.4) because
it is written in /etc/hosts (mail.snafu.de)
- but when majordomo/sendmail has to send a mail to the list only local
members get the mail, but not the user helmert in the world - the
smarthost ist not found (service unavailable).

So - what is wrong? What have I to change?
Is it a problem of majordomo or of sendmail?
Are there any mor information you need?

Thank you!
