I'm in almost exactly the same situation: I've used majordomo; I want to
continue to use majordomo; and I'd like to contribute something back...
but I need to be using a "production" release where -- for lack of a
more elegant way to describe it -- my bug-fixing efforts are focused
on nits and not on major problems. I'm concerned (and perhaps this
concern is entirely inappropriate, I'll grant that) that majordomo may
suffer the same fate that elm did: release postponed and postponed and
postponed until it simply died and had its role in the ecosystem
replaced by mutt.
I can live with some missing features and code stubs; but I'm having
increasing trouble trying to balance my use of 1.94.5 against the needs
of users against the demands on my time against a strong preference
to stick with majordomo. Sooooo, I'd very much like to see a stable
or even quasi-stable mj2 cut loose ASAP even if all the new features
aren't quite there yet.
