My first suggestion is to get used to turning off HTML in your
messages when writing to a majordomo list.  Plain text is all 
it will understand, and will cause problems under certain
conditions if you don't.

You can administer majordomo remotely with email commands, and
do not "need" a web interface for that.  Were you sent the 
list-owner-info file?  It has great facts for list admins.

Use the `config listname <passwd>` command (in email) to 
retrieve a copy of the current list.config file.  Look for
subscribe_policy and welcome settings for your immediate
question.

As for majorcool without your provider installing it, no.
