The list is hosted at vservers.com and the initial list setup is automated
by them. I hadn't realized that it may do things in ways that are not
typical. When I use a vservers "vaddlist" command to complete the initial
setup process on their BSD server, I get lines like this in my aliases file:
# "ctc" list
ctc: "|/usr/local/majordomo/wrapper resend -R -l ctc -h ctcnetx.org
a85226440"
a85226440::include:/usr/local/majordomo/Lists/ctc
and messages go out with a header that starts with this:
