I've discovered over the last couple of years that anything's possible with
Majordomo..you just need to know how to talk to it properly. :-)

I set up an automatic subscription webpage for a number of my Majordomo
lists.  It uses a cgi-script that I found in the Linux Script Archives
which creates a mail message. (I can look up the name of it if you'd like
to use this one, but there are a number of them available so it's just the
matter of selecting one that'll meet your needs).  With such a script it
would be possible to just set up a URL to a webpage that calls the script
and then have the member manually enter their address and press submit
button.  BTW setting up the subscription message was a lot easier for
Majordomo than for the one Listserv list I also maintain....even though on
the surface they look similar.
