There is a tool out there called demime.stable with a demime_junkmail.cf
configuration file that may interest you.  Sorry, but I don't have the 
URL handy for this one.

There may not be a searchable archive on greatcircle, but the archive is
there just the same.  Worst case scenario, you could download the archives
between 11/1998 and 11/2000, cat them into one file and use grep to search
through them.
